Retirement gifts are very important. Both for the person who is retiring and his/her colleagues who are offering the farewell. It is always an emotional moment when someone has to call it a day after so many years of service. Then when the person goes away with all the gifts that he has received, he definitely relives this day for many years to come. The retiree goes through the gifts received over and over again and remembers the days gone by. Tom gave me this beautiful pen (how we used to fight in the board meetings). Clara gave me this box of chocolates (how I helped her once when she was fighting the deadline). It is these gifts that make the people and the moments so alive, as if it was only yesterday. That is why retirement gifts are always so priceless and so dear to one’s heart.

So here are a few ideas for retirement gifts

Retirement Video: Shooting a video at a retirement party is always a great idea. And an even better idea is to gift that video to the person who is retiring. This video can show where the person used to sit and the work he used to do in the office. It can also contain speeches made by close colleagues saying something about the retiree with some of the unique mannerisms. The person is sure to like it very much.

Picture Frame: It can be a beautiful picture frame with the last group picture taken on the retirement party. Or it can also contain a picture of the retiree sitting at his desk and doing his daily work. The frame can include a fitting caption as well.

Personalized Man of the year Magazine Cover Label: This is another great gift idea. A Time Magazine (Man of the Year) label can be created that will have the picture of the retiree on the cover and look exactly like an original. The retiree is sure to be delighted with it.

Coffee Mug/Pen/Cap/Tea Spoon: These are all everyday items. So if colleagues print the retirees name on them and also wish him ‘all the best for the future’ or some other fitting message on them, the person is sure to remember his/her time spent at the office and the colleagues who loved him or her so much.
